Mittelberg lies at 1215 meters and is the highest and oldest place in the Kleinwalsertal which due to its geographical situation can only be reached by car from Germany.||Coming from Oberstdorf in the Allgäu you pass through Riezlern and Hirschegg and then through a few small villages - the 2,000 meter mountains close in and the valley is cut off from the outside world. The lack of through traffic guarantees peace and relaxation.||This does not mean that nothing happens in the Kleinwalsertal! On the contrary - après-ski for all tastes is assured by the many cafés, huts and other places, including a vivid night-life. Many shops and restaurants complete the picture.||Mittelberg in the snow is a real experience for winter sport enthusiasts. There are many pistes in the surrounding area where all skiers can test their skills. There are also many sledging and cross-country skiing possibilities in and around Mittelberg. We are happy to organise the Ski School and equipment hire for you.|
Most of the routes to the hotel meet in Ulm and then follow the A7 to the Autobahn junction Allgäu (Kempten) in the direction of Oberstdrof - exit Waltenhofen.||From the exit the well maintained road B19 continues towards Oberstdorf via Sonthofen and then on into the Kleinwalsertal.||On leaving Oberstdorf you pass through the villages of Riezlern and Hirschegg until you come to the IFA Hotel Aktiv Alpenrose on the right of the Walserstrasse.||Drive past the IFA Alpenrose and after about 100 meters turn left in the direction of Baad/Bödmen.||After approx. 600 meters turn left into the Wildental after the sports shop - Sport Winkel.||After 1.3 km you will pass the IFA Appartment Breitach and 100 meters later you will arrive at the IFA Wellness Hotel Alpenhof Wildental.|||
