Very professional check in and we booked a sea view suite. We had one on our previous visit in 2016. By coincidence we were given the same one again, no complaints, more space and a large terrace with afternoon sunshine. Same African theme decor in the room, sadly there are plenty of glass and cup marks on the wooden surfaces. Perhaps not the best furniture choice in a hotel room. Otherwise immaculate and well maintained.
The hotel has changed the main eating areas. They seem larger and better styled. Breakfast great choice, fresh fruit, cheese, meats etc all nicely laid out rather than piled high. Nespresso options as well.
We’re runners so I loved being able to hit the cliff trails. Best run was past Praia da Luz avoiding most roads.
positivo: Quiet location. Beautiful trails and secret steps to a isolated beach very close by. Another large beach about half a mile walk. Large suite and terrace, excellent staff and cleanliness throughout the hotel. Short taxi ride to Lagos or a 25-30 min walk. Gym well run.
negativo: Ate in Senses and Lighthouse restaurants on two evenings. Found it a little bland and under seasoned. Good quality though and great service and wine suggestions so I?d go again but choose different dishes or give the tasting menu a go.
